How many Euro plastic boxes fit on a pallet?

Euro stacking boxes are ideal for use in transport and storage during your logistics process. Thanks to the standardised dimensions, you can efficiently combine Euro boxes and crates with other plastic bins and load carriers such as pallets based on the Euro or Euronorm format. In this blog, we will tell you all about the standardised Euronorm dimensions and the efficient combination of Euro stacking boxes in the logistics sector.

    What is Euronorm?

Euronorm is a standardised size based on the size of a block pallet or industrial pallet (1200x1000mm), Euro pallet (1200x800mm) and a roll container (800x600mm). Other sizes within the Euronorm system are based on these basic dimensions, so that load carriers and packaging such as Euro stacking boxes can be perfectly combined and the space is used optimally during transport and storage. This is also called collomodular or collomoduul for packaging systems.

    What are the Euro dimensions?

The EPAL Euro pallet of 1200x800mm and the block pallet of 1200x1000mm are the most common collomodular pallet sizes. Various sizes of Euro containers can be placed on this without loss of space. Euronorm containers are available in the sizes 800x600mm, 600x400mm, 400x300mm and 300x200mm. The image below shows how these Euro bins can be perfectly combined on a Euro pallet and a block pallet so that the space is used optimally.

    Overview Euronorm dimensions

    Combining Euro bins efficiently

You can efficiently combine Euro bins because of the standardised dimensions. This is possible with all products based on the collomodular system. These products are ideal to use because they are coordinated with each other, so every millimetre of space is optimally used. We list the most commonly combined products:

In addition, our Euronorm containers can also be securely closed with a plastic lid. This provides extra protection for your goods and they are sealed off from dirt, dust, and water during transport and storage. Our plastic lids are also based on the Euronorm dimensions and are available with and without hinges.

    Advantages of Euro boxes

There are many advantages to using Euronorm stacking boxes for transport and storage.

    • Efficient, space-saving and cost-saving: because you can efficiently combine Euro boxes with other products based on the modular system, there is no empty space, but the space is used optimally. As a result, Euro crates are also cost-effective.
    • Stackable: all Euro boxes are stackable plastic bins. This applies to both containers of the same size and Euronorm crates with a different bottom size.
    • Many variants available: in our range, you will find different variants of Euronorm stacking bins: e.g. with and without grab opening or handles, with perforated side walls and bottom or fully closed and extra sturdy variants.
    • Durable: Euronorm stacking bins are made of durable polypropylene (PP), are sturdy and hygienic, and they last a long time.

    Conclusion

How many Euronorm containers fit on a pallet depends on the size of both the pallet and the Euro box. For example, two Euro boxes of 800x600mm, four pieces of 600x400mm and no less than sixteen Euro boxes of 300x200mm fit on a Euro pallet. Five boxes of 600x400mm fit on an industrial pallet, but you can also combine two Euro crates of 600x400mm with six Euro bins of 400x300mm.

Because Euronorm bins can be stacked properly, even more boxes fit on one pallet. For each product, you can read on our product pages how high the bins can be stacked.
